Instructor Course Content

Complete the full skill circuit of 24 basic scuba skills

Deliver presentations on parts of dive theory from the courses you’ll be qualified to teach

Give teaching presentations in confined water working with simulated students
-
Give teaching presentations in open water combining multiple skills with simulated students
-
Give a demonstration of a complete rescue scenario
-
Complete various workshops in the following areas: DSDs and Scuba Reviews, Adventures in Diving, Rescue and Marketing
-
Attend presentations on key areas of being a dive professional from the structure of individual courses to risk management and the business of diving


Prerequisites
In order to enroll in the PADI Instructor Development Course, you must meet the following prerequisites:

Be a PADI Divemaster or an instructor member in good standing (renewed or eligible to renew) with another recognised recreational diver training organisation, or have a leadership-level certification in good standing (renewed or eligible to renew) with another recognised recreational diver training organisation; 60 logged dives; documented experience in night diving, deep diving and underwater navigation.

Be a minimum of 18 years old

Medical clearance attesting to dive fitness signed by a physician within the previous 12 months, and have had no medical condition changes.

Certified diver for at least six months.

Completed the EFR Primary and Secondary Care course, or other qualifying training, within the last 24 months.

Documentation of any non-PADI qualifying entry-level, advanced, rescue and leadership-level certifications as required.

Have 100 logged dives

How Much Does It Cost?
Choose between the PADI Assistant Instructor course or the Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) course.
We have decided to make the pricing really simple to understand. Usually you book your course then find out that there is a long list of extras that you have to pay for. Things like PADI application fees and course materials can make working out the cost of your course very confusing.
The price we quote includes everything you need,
you pay us and we take care of all of the extras.
Assistant Instructor - £1,100
INCLUDES:
Crewpack, e-learning and PADI application fees.
As an Assistant Instructor you will be able to independently teach a lot of elements in the Open Water course as well as the very rewarding Peak Performance Buoyancy course, Bubblemaker and Seal Team experiences. Assistant Instructors are now also able to Instruct a bigger range of PADI specialties that we are able to teach you. These include Coral Reef Conservation, Project AWARE Specialist, Digital Underwater Photography, Emergency O2 Provider, EFR and Equipment Specialist making you a more marketable and versatile PADI Professional.

or with 5 extra Specialty Instructor ratings - £3500
INCLUDES:
Assistant Instructor course, Crewpack, e-learning, Instructor Exam fee and IDC PADI application fee.
Emergency First Response Instructor Course, materials and application fee.
As an OWSI you can teach the full compliment of core PADI courses - Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Rescue and Divemaster as well as the Peak Performance Buoyancy, PADI AWARE and AWARE Coral Reef Conservation courses.
You will also have been certified as an EFR Instructor which adds to your versatility and earning potential as a PADI Pro.
There are countless other courses you can train in as an OWSI in the form of specialties from Wreck and Deep to AWARE Shark Conservation and Underwater Naturalist.
