18 years ago Karl travelled to St Lucia and completed the PADI Openwater course with a dive centre called Scuba Steve's.

He has always wanted to return, Scuba Libre is in fact based on the fun diving he experienced and the dive shop is even painted like many of the buildings in St Lucia.
It is still a tropical paradise, with amazing life above and below the waves.
For anyone starting out their scuba journey here are some amazing stats.
On the exact same dives, done 18 years apart, from the same boat, Karl now uses half as much air and carries 25% of the weight, for dives that lasted twice as long!!!
So when you hear us say that you never stop improving, we aren't making it up. Practice makes better :).
Take a look at some of the amazing sights .......
Kellie and Karl have fallen in love with the place. We'd love to come back some day soon, maybe with some of you guys. 2028 anyone???
Why do we love it?
The diving is amazingly chilled out, the water is 30 degrees and flat calm. The dive boat is run by an amazing team, that are professional and extremely fun to be around. We have seen Eagle Rays, turtles, octopus, squid, baby moray eels, stingrays, Lionfish, and tons of colourful sponges and coral.
Karl has loved showing Kellie around the island, it has been incredible to come back and experience the paradise that is St Lucia. Above the water the life here is friendly and vibrant, we have adopted a bar called Spinnakers, many a beer and cocktail has been enjoyed alongside a roti. This fried flat bread is filled with a curry and is just the perfect way to cure your post dive hunger.
Tonight we spend our last night at the Jump Up, a street party that happens every Friday night.
Wish us luck .....
