The IDC is split into two component parts, the PADI Assistant Instructor course and the Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) course. The full breakdown of costs/prices are below. It can seem confusing to work out what you exactly need to do and pay for, get in touch and we can talk you through the whole process. (OWSI Price includes the AI price, you don't pay both). Assistant Instructor - £450 plus Crewpack & e-learning: £516.07 PADI application Fee: £103.20 As an Assistant Instructor you will be able to independently teach a lot of elements in the Open Water course as well as the very rewarding Peak Performance Buoyancy course, Bubblemaker and Seal Team experiences. Assistant Instructors are now also able to Instruct a bigger range of PADI specialties that we are able to teach you. These include Coral Reef Conservation, Project AWARE Specialist, Digital Underwater Photography, Emergency O2 Provider, EFR and Equipment Specialist making you a more marketable and versatile PADI Professional. OWSI No extra Specialties - £1349 OWSI +5 extra Specialties - £1950 plus Crewpack & e-learning: £516.07 IDC PADI application Fee: £238.20 Instructor Exam Fee: £834.00 Emergency First Response Instructor Course: included. EFRI materials: included. EFRI application Fee: £148.80 As an OWSI you can teach the full compliment of core PADI courses - Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Rescue and Divemaster as well as the Peak Performance Buoyancy, ProjectAWARE and AWARE Coral Reef Conservation courses. You will also have been certified as an EFR Instructor which adds to your versatility and earning potential as a PADI Pro. There are countless other courses you can train in as an OWSI in the form of specialties from Wreck and Deep to AWARE Shark Conservation and Underwater Naturalist. The more you do, the more versatile you'll be as an instructor and the more fun you'll have along the way!

Pool spaces cost us money, so please read all of the below. Please make sure you have read the medical form BEFORE you book your sessions. If you answer "yes" to any of the questions, please get in touch with us before booking. If you answer "no" to all of the questions on the diver medical, you can use this link to complete your booking. Medical form: www.scubanow.org/medical Your booking is not secured until payment has been received and we have confirmed your session date or course start date. We will do our best to accommodate your preferred date, but if we need to change your requested date, we will give you as much notice as possible. If we cannot offer you your preferred date and we are not able to offer you an appropriate alternative date, we will refund you your money in full. Once your session or course is confirmed, to cancel or reschedule please contact us no later than 48 hours before the session is due to start. If you contact us less than 48 hours before the session, we reserve the right to still charge you the full price of the course. If you contact more than 48 hours before the session, we will reschedule to another available date or refund your payment in full (less the booking fee which is approximate 5% of the course or session cost). If you attend your session but you are not able to dive for reasons related to the questions on the medical form, we reserve the right to still charge you the full price for the course.
